A dough sheeter consisting of a heavy- duty frame with gauging rollers driven by a motor with gearbox arrangement would be provided. The hopper would be of stainless steel with proper taper. The dough is smoothly formed from the hopper in the form of a sheet and fed to the gauging rollers. The distance between the gauging rollers would be adjustable and this would depend on the desired thickness of the papad, mathiya, cholafali. The rollers would be PVC coated (food-grade material). There would be an intermediate endless food grade conveyor to feed the dough sheet to the cutting plant. The conveyor belt would be of food-grade material. A rotary cutting unit would be fitted on a roller for smooth and accurate cutting of Papad as per the desired sizes.

Jas enterprises have developed a simple inexpensive foot operated press to make about 500 papad / hour from dal flour dough. The thickness of the papad altered in the machine by adjusting the clearance between the roller & polpat. Being foot operated it is simple and easy to operate. This machine adopted for cottage scale production of papad. Raw materials required for papad making are locally available in rural areas. Urad dhal, any pulse flour, salt, farinaceous material and spice mix are required. The papad industry has a good scope for marketing. Papad are exported to 42 countries from India. The preparation of papad consists of dough making using pulse flour (preferably urad dhal), salt, carbonates, farinaceous material and water. The dough is kneaded made into kinder mixture and passed in to extruder. Then it will cite with luva cutting machine. The pressed circular shaped papad is dry to 14-15% moisture level in sun light or in dryer. The above process can easily be dons at village level as it involves low investment.

Jas handmade style papad machine consist heavy duty mild duty fabricated structure covered with stainless steel sheet. Cast iron chrome plated (stainless steel optional) palpate rotate by 0.5 h.p. (0.375 kW) electric motor. Mild steel chrome plated revolving guide having four numbers deep groove ball bearing which is drive by polpate. Moving of revolving guide is done by foot. Specialized limit switch is supplied with machine thus when revolving guide & polpate is came in contact electric motor will start.

Boil the water. Add all the masalas (cumin seeds, ajwain seeds,sesame seeds, papad khar, chilli paste, Garlic, salt ) to the boiling water. Allow to boil for suitable time. Pour the rice flour in boiling water. Stir well. Steam the dough by spreading the dough in a plate and then placing the plate on a stand in a large vessel filled with water. Bind to a dough after cooling down a little. When cool form put that dough in to the dough sheeter.

Sheeter consisting of a heavy- duty frame with gauging rollers driven by a motor with gearbox arrangement would be provided. The hopper would be of stainless steel with proper taper. The dough is smooth formed from the hopper in the form of a sheet and feed to the gauging rollers. The distance between the gauging rollers would be adjustable and this would depend on the desired thickness of the Pani Puri, khichiya papad, nachos, tortilla, mathri, mathi puri, raw khakhara. The rollers would be polytetrafluoroethylene (TEFLON) coated (food-grade material). There would be an intermediate conveyor to feed the dough sheet to the cutting plant. The conveyor belt would be of food-grade material.

A rotary cutting is would be fitted on a roller for smooth and accurate cutting Khichiya Papad as per the desired size. There would be a provision for shifting the generated Khichiya Papad scrap back to the hopper.

Production capacity: 800 to 1000 numbers of 6" Khichiya Papad per hour if diameter will smaller then production will be higher (we can also supply with higher production capacity according to customer requirements.)
